For the first time, the Museum Bensheim is featuring a private art collection as the theme of a special exhibition: "The Familiar in the Foreign" provides insights into the collection of Detlev Blenk and offers a personal perspective on collecting contemporary art. The focus on a few collection themes was Blenk's original attempt to sharpen the eye's focus. This resulted in a biographical collection concept that sensitively and symbiotically expresses both the artworks and the collector's life. On display is a concentrated selection of works, including pieces by Ruprecht von Kaufmann, Carina Linge, Gary Schlingheider, and Andi Fischer. Text: Museum Bensheim
